GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines men's soccer program has partnered with Team IMPACT to sign
Logan D. to the Oredigger soccer program. Logan's signing day ceremony was held on Monday September 4, 2023 in the Korrell Auditorium with his family and the men's soccer players and staff in attendance.
"We're glad to be able to partner with Team IMPACT to recruit Logan to our team" said head coach
Greg Mulholland. "Colorado School of Mines Athletics is thrilled to welcome Logan to the Mines Athletics family and the Mines soccer team!"
Captains
Ian Kugler and
Grant Bell also spoke at the signing day ceremony, alongside senior
Chris Seery. Seery led off the comments, welcoming the newest Oredigger by saying, "Logan, thanks for joining us! In the short time you have been with us, you have already contributed so much to the team environment and we all really care about you a lot. You, your brother and your family bring so much to us, and we are looking forward to the future!"
"It has been great to get to know you, I've loved being able to hang out with you and look forward to having you on the sidelines with us!" Bell added.
"I think I speak for the rest of the guys when I say we are all so proud of you and that you really embody so much of what it means to be an Oredigger!" said Kugler.
Logan is an eight-year-old from Erie who faces Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) as well as epilepsy and autism diagnoses. He is a sports fan who loves all kinds of sports as well as Spiderman and Transformers. In school Logan is really good with math, which compliments his addition to the Mines roster. Logan loves to crack jokes as well as roughhouse with his older brother.
Logan will join his teammates on the sidelines during Mines home matches for the rest of the 2023 season.
