ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Saturday's Lewis XC Crossover was all Orediggers as the Colorado School of Mines men and women swept the team titles and Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge raced to her second individual gold of the season.

Ramsey-Rutledge churned out a 20:38.46, her fastest 6K time of the season and more than 11 seconds faster than silver medalist Kendall Kramer of Alaska. The Kansas native fueled a women's team score of 69 to top a list of 32 programs with at least five entries. It bested second-place and host Lewis by a margin of 45 points. Ethan Grolnic anchored the men's squad by finishing the 8K course third overall in 23:52.39, less than six seconds out of a silver medal and under 15 seconds behind first-place finisher Ryan Hartman of Augustana. Grolnic's bronze set the stage for a men's team score of 62 which was #1 in a field of 36 teams with at least five finishers. Second place in the team standings went to Western Washington which totaled 123 points. All results came in a massive field that featured 16 men's teams and 12 women's teams that are either nationally ranked or receiving votes.

The rest of the men's race, the first race of the day, included top-25 finishes from Jeremiah Vaille (7th), Braden Struhs (14th), Alberto Campa (20th), and Matthew Mettler (22nd). Vaille went 24:09.14, Struhs' pace was 24:18.11, Campa pushed to 24:25.99 in his first race of the season, and Mettler rounded out the scoring with a 24:27.51. Andres O'Malley (36th) and Chandler Wilburn (57th) also ran for the Orediggers. Overall, the men's race featured 341 runners.

A similar script for the Oredigger women proved successful. After Ramsey-Rutledge's low stick, it was Grace Strongman (6th), Margaux Basart (14th), Lexi Herr (17th), and Ashleigh Loe (38th) scoring for Mines. Strongman paced out at 21:10.90, Basart stopped the clock at 21:33.85, Herr crossed in 21:39.39, and Loe posted a 22:02.45. Callen Nash (55th) and Imani Fernandez-Gorbea (65th) were bumpers for the Orediggers. Josie Mejia, Gabriela Kenly, Karina Andersen, and Avary Catchings were top-100 as well. Emily LaMena rounded out Mines' contingency in a field of 335 runners.
