COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado School of Mines quarterback Evan Foster has been named the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter's state player of the week for his performance against Adams State in Week 7.

Foster had an all-around standout performance in the 56-14 win, compiling 400 total offensive yards and five total touchdowns. He was 25-of-31 through the air for 326 yards with four passing touchdowns, and he also caught a 17-yard touchdown while adding 57 rushing yards on four carries. He threw touchdowns of 37, 49, 7, and 43 yards in keying an explosive Mines offensive attack.

It is Foster's first career honor from the NFFCC. He joins receiver Flynn Schiele (Week 4) in earning the award this season. The NFFCC considers outstanding performances from all 10 of the state's college football programs, regardless of division.

#10/12 Mines is back home Saturday to host #8/10 Western Colorado at noon.
