GOLDEN, Colo. - Four bonus-point wins helped Colorado School of Mines run away to defeat Adams State, 29-10, at Volk Gym.

The Orediggers (6-2, 4-2 RMAC) were led by Trebor Moreno's pin and tech falls from Cody Thompson and Ryan Cody as they dispatched the Grizzlies (4-4, 2-3 RMAC) with seven bout wins overall.

ASU led off the start after Isaiah Gamez beat Christian Lopez 6-4, but Moreno turned things around quickly, leading 6-4 before a second-period reversal into a pin over DJ Van Matre. Angel Flores won 6-2 over Grayston DiBlasi at 141, but Mines collected eight points in its next two bouts, first with Thompson's 15-0 tech fall shutout of Travis Vialpando at 149 and then with Jakob Smith's riding dominance to win 2-0 over Nico Carrasco at 157.

The Grizzlies' final win came at 165 where Aaden Valdez majored Tristin David 15-4, but Mines ripped off four straight wins to end the dual from there. The run started with Wyatt Reisz's 11-2 major decision over Sam Loera III, and Mason Diel used a late takedown to top Hunter Tobiasson 8-6 at 184. The bout of the day came at 197 where Cody showed his Greco prowess with numerous throws resulting in backpoints against #12 Ben Tonnessen; Cody had four takedowns in the bout to win via tech fall, 27-12, in the third period. Laith Ibrahim capped the dual with his 4-3 victory over Wil Aucoin.

Mines beat Adams State for the seventh time in their last eight meetings; it was the Orediggers' most lopsided win over the Grizzlies since a 37-13 result in 2016. 

The Orediggers remain at home to host CSU Pueblo Thursday at 6 p.m.
