AZUSA, Calif.
- National-level performances continued to pour in for Colorado School of Mines distance runners on the second day of the Bryan Clay Invitational in California, including the new 5,000m program record for Zoe Baker.

The Orediggers' 5,000m runners took center stage Friday night with personal best after personal best times, and Mines also had competitors in the 800m and 10K throughout the day. Baker's 15:58.60 time reset her program 5K record to lead the Oredigger women, while Logan Bocovich had the top men's performance of 13:49.23.

In the women's 5K, Mines had all of its runners clock in under the NCAA provisional cut of 17:03.78 at sea level as they recorded an incredible seven entries to the program's all-time top-10 list. Grace Strongman ran a five-second personal-best of 16:51.40 and Margaux Basart added a two-second PR of 16:53.48 in the same heat, a day after running her best in the steeplechase. Riley McGrath ran 16:25.19, the #4 performance all-time at Mines, and Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge's personal-best 16:23.98 jumped her up to #2 all-time on the program list; Holly Moser's PR of 16:38.05 ranks #6. Baker - whose previous mark of 16:07.72 was set at the same meet last year - became the first Oredigger to crack 16 minutes in the event, and should rank in the national top five by the end of the weekend. Molly Maksin ran a personal-best 16:31.08 to close the night, the #5 performance in program history.

It was a similar story for the men, whose NCAA provisional line stands at 14:21.69 and was met by every Oredigger who ran. Coming into the night only five men in program history had ever ran a sub-14:00 5K, but by the end of the evening that total was nine as Dawson Gunn, Paul Knight, Logan Bocovich, and Duncan Fuehne smashed the mark. Gunn impressed with a 13:58.40 time before Knight went a second lower at 13:57.43, and Bocovich clocked 13:49.23 in a later heat before Fuehne closed the evening with a 13:52.43 showing. JP Rutledge was the top D-II runner in his heat to finish in 14:09.95, and John O'Malley ran 14:12.64.

Ashleigh Loe started off Friday with a personal-best and NCAA-provisional 36:14.97 in the 10,000m, a performance that ranks #7 all-time at Mines. Mines had two competitors in the 800m as Aryelle Wright clocked 2:10.07 in the Invite race, and Imani Fernandez-Gorbea set a personal best of 2:11.95 to become the #3 performer all-time at Mines.
