GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.
- Everett Delate and Lexye Wood reset program records to lead a day full of personal-best performances at the Maverick Invite #2 at Colorado Mesa.

On the same track that will host the RMAC Championships in two weeks, Delate won the 110m hurdles in a blazing 13.90 seconds, lowering his previous best of 13.95 set at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championships. It slots in as the #10 performance in NCAA Division II this season. Meanwhile, Wood uncorked two jumps over six meters, including her fifth attempt of 6.11m, to reset her record in the event with an all-venues best by four centimeters. That mark ranks #8 in NCAA Division II this season and makes her the first woman in Mines history to long jump over 20 feet (20-0.5).

Rhett Cullers had a big PR in the 110m hurdles, running his first sub-15 time in 14.81 to move up to #6 on the Mines all-time list. Garrett Halbrooks added to the sprint PRs with his collegiate-best 10.91 100m dash, moving him to #7 all-time, and a 22.38 200m which is his best by more than eight-tenths.

Elsewhere on the track, Avary Catchings won the women's 800m in 2:17.63, and Tim Thompson took the men's race in 1:51.99. Grace Galvin ran 58.20 and Randi Higashi 59.04 in the 400m dash, and the two later ran 25.51 and 26.04, respectively, in the 200m, with Galvin's time a PR. The women's 400m hurdles had Allison Comer second in 1:03.03 and Aani Hardesty third in 1:04.80. Delate ran 53.61 to place third in the men's 400m hurdles with Elijah Quinby clocking 56.64 and Cullers 58.14.

Mines' throwers had another terrific meet led by Kitt Rupar, who hit a huge personal best in the shot put, marking 14.63m on her fifth attempt for second place. After throwing 13.89m twice last weekend, she went 14 meters or better three times in her series to move up to #3 all-time at Mines; she now stands at #12 on the national performance list. Rupar also added a 50.24m best for third in the hammer. Kolby Denke made his Mines debut with the #2 javelin performance in the modern era, throwing 57.89m with Franklin Rambo hitting a PR for the second straight week at 55.91m. Brody Welch won the men's shot put with a 15.84m heave, with Hayden Swim marking 15.02m, Rambo 14.62m, and Cade Whish 13.00m.

Hunter Potrykus nearly snapped his program pole vault record against, clearing 5.26m to win as he was just a centimeter off his best. Potrykus did not record a miss until attempting a would-be RMAC-record 5.41m. Noah Kelly became the fourth man in program history over five meters with his collegiate-best 5.06m, an NCAA provisional mark tied for 10th nationally, while Kai Miller cleared 4.76m and Shane Conley 4.61m with Jackson Wray at 4.31m.

Hannah Miller won the women's pole vault at 4.03m with Avery Herbold second over 3.88m, Dale Thompson third at the same height, and Ava Kowalski fourth at 3.73m with Madeline Obuchowski clearing 3.28m. Grant Redmond cleared 2.02m for second in the high jump as Mines' only entrant.

The Orediggers are home next weekend to host the Kit Mayer Classic on Friday and Saturday.
