Final Results
PUEBLO, Colo. -
Ethan Adam notched his second top-10 of the season to lead Colorado School of Mines to fourth place at the Southern Colorado Masters on Tuesday.
Battling more windy conditions in the third round, Adam finished eighth at +4 after an even-par 71 in the final round, one of only eight par or better rounds on the day. Mines shot a team 297 to settle at +34 in fourth place, with the host CSU Pueblo winning at +6 ahead of Colorado Christian (+9) and Colorado Mesa (+16).
Jake Welch and
Lukas Taggart ended up tied at 21st (+10) after Welch shot 74 and Taggart 75 on the final day of competition, and
Theodore Reitter's 77 was Mines' fourth score as he ended T32 (+14).
Max Lange was the non-counting score with an 80 to end up T38 at +17.
Mines had four individuals in play led by
Owen Cornmesser, who finished tied for 24th (+11) after a final-round 76.
Lucas Schulte shot 74 to move up to 36th (+15), while
Carter Lolli (T38, +17) and
Charlie Tran (48th, +21) finished with rounds of 78.
CCU's Xavier Bighaus was the medalist after shooting 66 to take a two-shot lead over the field.
Mines begins play at the RMAC Championships in Nevada on April 21.
