LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Lukas Taggart wrapped up play at the 2024 NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional, carding another even-par round to move into the top 30.

Taggart finished tied for 27th at +4, adding a round of 71 to his scores of 75 and 71 from earlier in the tournament. The Colorado School of Mines sophomore overcame a slow start with bogeys on his first two holes by going three-under the rest of the way on the front nine, then was one-over with eight pars on the back side to end at even par. The round moved him up eight spots on the day.

Taggart, making his second consecutive NCAA Regionals at-large appearance, improved on his T52 finish from a year ago as a freshman. He was the second individual qualifier on the leaderboard.

Western New Mexico won the regional team title at -2, with Oklahoma Christian (E), Colorado Christian (E), West Texas A&M (+2), and Cal State Monterey Bay (+13) earning the other four slots at the NCAA Division II Championships. CCU's Dylan Arthur was the individual medalist at -9, two shots clear of the field.
