COLORADO SPRINGS - Matt Sparks is the RMAC Women's Coach of the Year to lead Colorado School of Mines' representation on the outdoor all-conference teams announced Wednesday.

In addition to Sparks' honor, Orediggers earned 48 all-RMAC slots (25 men's and 23 women's). First-teamers represent the top three finishers in each event at the RMAC Championships and the first-place relays, while second-team honors go to finishers four through six plus the second-place relays. 

Sparks - also the RMAC Indoor Women's Coach of the Year - led the Mines women to their first-ever RMAC Outdoor team title, following up their indoor crown with 144 points at the outdoor meet. The Orediggers tied their best-ever national ranking during the season at #7, and are sending 13 qualifiers in 18 events to this weekend's NCAA Division II Championships. 

Among Mines' all-RMAC honorees are eight conference champions: men's gold medalists Logan Bocovich (5,000m), Everett Delate (110m hurdles), Duncan Fuehne (10,000m), Hunter Potrykus (pole vault), and Tim Thompson (800m), plus women's winners Avery Herbold (pole vault), Jenna Ramsey-Rutledge (10,000m), and Avery Wright (heptathlon).
