2024 Schedule

GOLDEN, Colo. –
Colorado School of Mines head women's soccer coach Kevin Fickes has announced the 2024 schedule that stands before the Orediggers this fall. The 18-game calendar includes eight matches at Stermole Soccer Stadium, two west coast trips and features non-conference matchups with opponents from California, Texas and Washington.

The season gets underway with the first of two excursions out west against San Francisco State and Chico State, the same two opponents from opening weekend last fall, on September 5 and 8. The following weekend Mines makes their home debut on September 12 and 15 against Lubbock Christian and West Texas A&M.

Non-conference play wraps up with a trip back out west but this time heading north as well to the Evergreen State to play Saint Martin's and Western Washington September 20 and 22. Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play kicks off at Stermole the following week against defending regular season champion UCCS on September 27 followed by CSU Pueblo on September 29.

As the calendar turns over, a four-match road trip awaits starting with the trip to Spearfish against Black Hills State on October 4 before a return to the Denver metro area Sunday October 6 against Regis. The following weekend features a rematch of the 2023 RMAC quarterfinals against Fort Lewis in Durango on October 11 before heading to Gunnison and Western Colorado October 13.

Four of the final six matches of the regular season for the Orediggers will be played at home starting October 18 and 20 when they host Colorado Christian and MSU Denver before closing their road slate October 25 and 27 against New Mexico Highlands and Adams State. The regular season ends at Stermole against the reigning RMAC tournament champions Colorado Mesa on November 1 with Westminster being the final scheduled opponent of the year on November 3.

Mines went 15-4-3 overall last season and 9-1-2 in the RMAC, finishing second in the standings and runners-up in the conference tournament and for the second straight year hosted the opening rounds of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship.
