COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Flynn Schiele's monster 297-yard receiving performance for Colorado School of Mines against Black Hills State has earned him the RMAC's Offensive Player of the Week award.
Schiele had the most prolific receiving yardage game for Mines since 1970 as he caught 13 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns, all of which beat or matched his previous career bests. The redshirt junior was targeted 16 times by
Evan Foster in the Orediggers' 52-24 win.
Schiele's 297 yards marks the most in a game by an NCAA Division II player this year (and the most since the 2018 season), and second-most in all of college football. Through four games, Schiele ranks in the national top-10 in receiving yards per game (131.5, 2nd), receptions per game (8.3, 2nd), and receiving yards (526, 5th).
The Orediggers (4-0, 2-0 RMAC) return to action Saturday at Colorado Mesa.
