CSCAA DII Top-25 Polls

RICHMOND, VA. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Swimming teams both returned to the national rankings over the holidays with the men climbing to #25 and the women taking over #21 in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches' Association of America's (CSCAA) 2024-25 Division II Top 25 dual meet poll.

Both Oredigger squads had started the season in the rankings. The men were featured at #23 and the women were #25 before dropping out in the next edition of the national list. Mines returned to the top-25 thanks to a successful November as both teams went unbeaten in dual racing combined with a quality trip to the TYR/CMU Invitational in Grand Junction, Colo. The polls are voted on by a committee consisting of Division II coaches and is meant to reflect the top dual meet teams in all of NCAA Division II. The national rankings are not meant to predict the top finishers in a championship meet format.

Topping the December polls were Drury's men and Colorado Mesa's women. There were additional familiar faces from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in the polls as well. On the men's side, Colorado Mesa was #3, Simon Fraser was #18 and Oklahoma Christian received votes. The women's list featured #13 Simon Fraser and #25 Oklahoma Christian. As a team, Mines enters the new year touting a total of 24 times ranked 25th or better in all of NCAA Division II. Vladislav Kazakin's seventh-ranked 1000-free and Jordan Tierney's 10th-ranked 200-breast top the list for the Orediggers.

Mines swimming returns to competition on Friday at the University of Denver with racing to start at 3 p.m. A full preview of Friday's dual will be available later on Thursday at www.minesathletics.com.
