Winn Wins RMAC Swimmer of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado School of Mines junior Jakson Winn was named the RMAC Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday after a successful outing against the University of Wyoming.
 
The award is the first of Winn's career. Against NCAA Division I competition on Monday, Winn collected three gold medals and one silver. Individually, the Washington native won the 50-back in 24.39. He was also the lead swimmer on the winning 400-medley relay which posted a combined time of 3:25.67. His anchor on the 400-freestyle relay led to a first-place finish in 3:07.03 as well. The Orediggers' 200-freestyle relay took second in 1:25.06 with Winn as anchor too.
 
Monday's dual with Wyoming marked Mines' final home event of the season and the last regular-season race for the Oredigger men. The Cowboys narrowly won the competition by a margin of 113-90. The next action for Mines' men will be the 2025 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships hosted at Colorado Mesa Feb. 11-15.
