COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado School of Mines 125-pounder Christian Lopez is the RMAC Wrestler of the Week after a standout tournament performance on Saturday.

Lopez went 2-0 at the Jack Hancock Duals, highlighted by his upset of #3 Jakason Burks of Central Missouri, 4-1 in overtime, to start the day. Lopez later worked a flawless 15-0 technical fall victory over Sioux Falls' Daniel Parra.

It is the first career RMAC Wrestler of the Week honor for the redshirt senior, who was #14 at 125 pounds in last week's Open Mat rankings. Lopez is 11-5 this season including 6-0 in duals, scoring a team-best 28 points.

Mines begins its RMAC schedule this Friday hosting Chadron State at 6 p.m.
