NABC Top 25 Rankings Feb. 11
D2CSC Media Poll Feb. 11
GOLDEN, Colo. – With just three weeks left in the regular season, the RMAC-leading Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team kept their name in the national conversation Tuesday in the latest NABC Division II Coaches and D2 CSC Media Polls, checking in this week as the #8 and #10 team respectively in each ranking.
Mines (19-3, 13-1) had to work for a pair of road wins over the weekend as they ran their current winning streak to four games behind 68-56 and 60-57 wins over Western Colorado and Westminster.
Thee top four in the coaches poll showed no signs of changes as Washburn, Daemen, Nova Southeastern and Alabama Huntsville held fast with Dallas Baptist rounding out the top five. Missouri S&T, who achieved their first-ever top five ranking last week, stumbled to eighth this week following a Saturday loss to Upper Iowa.
As was the case last week, the top four in the media poll remained the same as Washburn, Nova Southeastern, Daemen and Alabama Huntsville were likewise joined in the top five this week by DBU.
The Orediggers are back at Lockridge Arena this week for two games and three of their next four starting Thursday night against Black Hills State followed by Chadron State Saturday.
