RICHMOND, VA. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Swimming teams were both named Scholar All-America Teams Monday for the fall 2024 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches' Association of America (CSCAA).

The Oredigger men and women claimed the distinction thanks to their combined work in the classroom. Mines' 22 men on the roster worked together for a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.49 for the term. Nineteen Oredigger women posted a team GPA of 3.61 for the fall. The prestigious recognition requires a team to achieve a GPA above 3.0 during the fall 2024 semester. Mines represented two of 781 teams from 459 institutions that reached the milestone. Furthermore, Head Coach Claire McDaniel's squads were two of 654 that boasted a GPA above 3.30.

Next week, the Orediggers open the postseason at the 2025 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships. The event runs Feb. 11-15 in Grand Junction, Colo., at Colorado Mesa. A full preview will be available on Monday. Live coverage and ticket information is already available at www.minesathletics.com.
