DENVER, Colo. – Saturday marked the final day of the First Chance Invitational hosted by the University of Denver at El Pomar Natatorium, and the nationally-ranked Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Swimming teams completed their final prep for the conference championships.

Abby Swanson started the day for Mines and posted a 54.13 in the 100-free. Next was
Emi Jedryka in the women's 200-back. She touched the wall at 2:17.09.
Ronan Lauinger tried his hand at the men's 200-back and turned in a 1:52.14.
Jordan Tierney flew to silver in the women's 200-breast thanks to her time of 2:22.42. That put her ahead of five other NCAA Division I swimmers.
Jack Engler took his turn in the men's 200-breast and went 2:08.07.
Lucas Waasdorp and
Max Waring teamed up in the 100-fly and produced times of 50.04 and 50.85, respectively. Waasdorp's pace placed him sixth in a field of 17. Rounding out the day for the Orediggers was the duo of Lauinger and
Andres Saa in the 200-IM. Lauinger hit the wall at 1:53.65 and Saa finished in 1:58.24.

Mines' next event will is the 2025 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships running Feb. 11-15 and hosted at Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colo. Live results and pay-per-view video on the RMAC Network will be available for every session of the championships.
