2024-25 Swimming & Awards and All-RMAC Teams: MEN | WOMEN
 
COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado School of Mines Swimming Head Coach Claire McDaniel was named the RMAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year on Thursday as the conference office unveiled its end-of-season and All-RMAC award winners.
 
McDaniel's superlative accolade tops a list of 23 Orediggers who collected numerous First-Team and Second-Team All-RMAC honors. It marks her fourth RMAC Coach of the Year award on the men's side and seventh RMAC Coach of the Year award overall in six seasons at the helm of Mines' men's and women's programs. McDaniel was RMAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year in 2021, 2022, and 2024. She was RMAC Women's Swimming Coach of the Year in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Colorado Mesa collected four of the five remaining distinctions on the men's side. Simon Fraser brought home RMAC Men's Swimmer of the Meet and three of the women's superlative awards. The major wards were voted on by each of the league's head coaches. The "of the meet" honors were decided during the 2025 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships.
 
Overall, McDaniel had 13 Oredigger men and 10 women produce multiple All-RMAC performances. She was assisted in the task by her staff of Noah Hensley, Andy Foley, Jackie Mudd, and Colin Fenster. All-RMAC swims from Luca Burns, Kevin Burns, Lucas Hoke, Joe Hutchinson, Sawyer Jones, Vladislav Kazakin, Michael Kietzman, Ronan Lauinger, Joseph Lev-Tov, Gavin Moore, Jaron O'Grady, and Jakson Winn helped Mines' men to a runner-up finish in the team standings at the 2025 conference meet. Addtionally, Kazakin was a two-time All-American at the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships which provided 24 teams points and helped the Oredigger men tie for 25th in the nation. Isabella Bono, Sophia Cristal, Kerrigan Hemp, Emi Jedryka, Olivia Kisow, Ava LaBrose, Jennifer Pierson, Jordan Tierney, Kylie VanderMeer, and Maggie Wells were All-RMAC swimmers for Mines' women who finished third at the RMAC championships.
 
With the 2024-25 season in books, McDaniel and the Orediggers turn to offseason training and locking in their incoming signing class. Additional postseason awards have yet to be announced including multiple academic honors. Those distinctions will be unveiled at www.minesathletics.com and on social media.
