Softball Shifts Weekend Series With Black Hills State

3/26/2025 1:51:00 PM

GOLDEN, Colo. – For the third time this season, Mother Nature has forced a change of plans for the Colorado School of Mines softball team as this weekend's series with Black Hills State has changed venues and switched days.

The series, originally scheduled to be played in Spearfish this weekend, will now be contested in Golden at Joe Coors, Jr. Softball Field due to inclement weather in South Dakota. BHSU will remain the home team for the series, while Mines will remain the visiting team. Additionally, the weekend with the Yellow Jackets will get underway starting Friday at 12 p.m. with a doubleheader followed by a second doubleheader Saturday starting at 11 a.m.

With the schedule shift, the Orediggers will now play their next 12 games at home and 16 of their final 20 regular season games in Golden.

Live stats and live video for all four games this weekend will provided by the Mines Athletic Communications office. Fans are reminded that Mines baseball is also home this weekend against Colorado Mesa and to remain vigilant when both teams are playing at the same time.

Admission to this weekend's games will be free although fans are encouraged to make an item or cash donation to Blaster's Basket. Additionally, those planning to attend Friday's game are reminded they will need to pay for parking or otherwise be ticketed by campus parking enforcement.
