2025 RMAC Championships [Live Leaderboard] [Tournament Central]
Sunday-Tuesday - Boulder Creek GC - Boulder City, Nev.
MINES SET FOR 2025 RMAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Coming off their best tournament performance of the year, Colorado School of Mines carries positive momentum into the postseason as they start play at the 2025 RMAC Championships on Sunday in Nevada. The Orediggers, third at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on April 8, are looking to extend their season with a strong conference tournament performance.
THE TOURNAMENT
The RMAC Championships are a three-day, 54-hole tournament starting Sunday to crown the conference's champion. The men's and women's tournaments are played concurrently at Boulder Creek, which has three nine-hole tracks to rotate through. Tee times are set for 9:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, 9:30 a.m. on Monday, and 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Live scoring will be provided on Scoreboard.
THE FORECAST
Conditions are forecast to be nearly perfect through the tournament with highs in the mid-80s under sunny skies; Tuesday's final round could be impacted by afternoon winds.
THE COURSE
Situated in southeastern Nevada between Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, Boulder Creek was built in 2003 and is a frequent tournament host, including Monday qualifying for The Shriners Childrens' Open and the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship and 2025 Women's D-II Championship. Mines is headed there for the second time this spring, having played in the Las Vegas Desert Classic in March.
IN THE HUNT
The Orediggers are fighting to extend their season as they enter the weekend ranked #10 in the South Central region in the Scoreboard rankings, and #8 in the NCAA regional rankings. The top 10 teams in the latter qualify for the NCAA regional championships. Key for Mines would be if they could finish ahead of any of the three RMAC teams in front of them in both rankings: Colorado Christian (#1 in both), Colorado Mesa (#5 in both), or CSU Pueblo (#7 in both).
MINES AT THE RMAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Orediggers are seeking their fourth RMAC tournament title having won in 2012, 2018, and 2019. Since the RMAC Championship went to its tournament format in 2012, Mines has also been the runner-up three times, in 2013, 2015, and 2016. Mines finished fifth a year ago led by high finisher
Ethan Adam, who was T15, while
Lukas Taggart tied for 19th and
Max Lange was T21.
LAST TIME OUT
Led by
Carter Lolli's career-best 10th-place finish, Mines finished a season-best third at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on April 8. Mines finished -18 led by Lolli (-6) with
Colt Tenpenny finishing T16,
Max Lange T25,
Lucas Schulte T30, and
Lukas Taggart T37.
LOOKING AHEAD
Should Mines qualify, the NCAA West/South Central Regional would be May 9-11 at the Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif.
