AUSTIN, Texas – The Colorado School of Mines Men's Swimming duo of Joseph Lev-Tov and Jaron O'Grady earned Academic All-America status from College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Wednesday with the unveiling of the 2024-25 men's swimming & diving teams.

Lev-Tov was named CSC Second-Team Academic All-America and O'Grady claimed CSC Third-Team Academic All-America distinction. Lev-Tov earned the honor in his first year of eligibility. O'Grady's award marks his second straight after bringing home CSC Second-Team Academic All-America accolades last season. Furthermore, O'Grady is just the fourth man in program history to win multiple Academic All-America awards. Members of the CSC Academic All-America teams were initially nominated for CSC Academic All-District. A committee then selected the finalists to put on the ballot for CSC Academic All-America. Members of College Sports Communicators voted on the teams. Minimum criteria for all-America recognition required a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5, or better, along with outstanding credentials in competition and a minimum participation requirement.

For Lev-Tov, the prestigious academic recognition caps an outstanding sophomore season. At the 2025 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships, he raced to silver and First-Team All-RMAC in the 1000-free. He was also Second-Team All-RMAC in the 1650-free thanks to a fourth-place finish. Lev-Tov's results in the pool helped him earn status as an alternate for the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships. The Boulder, Colo., native's unblemished GPA in electrical engineering drove additional awards such as CSC Academic All-District, the RMAC Summit Award, and RMAC First-Team All-Academic.

O'Grady wrapped his stellar collegiate career this season as a back-to-back Academic All-American. His honors were fueled by Second-Team All-RMAC status as part of the 800-freestyle relay. The Englewood, Colo., native also churned out multiple NCAA "B" times throughout the season including an impressive 1:48.52 (adjusted for altitude) in the 200-fly at the CMU Last Chance meet. The 2024 RMAC Academic Athlete of the Year also claimed CSC Academic All-District and RMAC First-Team All-Academic in 2025.

Mines' men finished the 2024-25 season tied for 25th in the nation after scoring 24 points at the national meet. The Oredigger men also took team silver at the RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships with Head Coach Claire McDaniel earning RMAC Coach of the Year. They are now in the postseason with signing announcements and additional awards on the horizon. All offseason updates for Mines swimming will be posted online at www.minesathletics.com.
