Final Results
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Lucas Schulte's 68 highlighted the final round of the NCAA West/South Central Regional Championships as Colorado School of Mines closed their season in 10th place.
In brutally hot temperatures over 100 degrees in southern California, the Orediggers were the day's biggest mover up the leaderboard as they were -4 on the day to advance five spots to 10th. Mines settled at -13 for the tournament, seven strokes off the cutline for the top six teams to advance to the national tournament. #1 Colorado Christian topped the tournament at -46.
Schulte's four-under 68, which saw him drain three birdies over his final five holes, led Mines on Saturday as he got to -5 for the weekend and T20 overall.
Colt Tenpenny finished as the top Oredigger on the leaderboard tied for 15th, getting to -7 after a one-under 71 that included an impressive 33 back nine.
Max Lange was even par in round three to remain at -2 and T47, while
Theodore Reitter finished up +1 in a tie for 65th after his round of 73.
Lukas Taggart was substituted into the lineup for
Carter Lolli and was the non-counting scorer at 81.
Oklahoma Christian's Oskari Nikku won medalist honors at -17 followed by CCU's Sangha Park (-14), Adam Duncan (-12), and Xavier Bighaus (-12).
