D2football.com Top 25

GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines' 2-0 start has moved them up one spot in this week's D2football.com media poll to #23.

Mines had entered the D2football.com poll at #24 last week. The Orediggers are also receiving votes in the AFCA Coaches' Top 25, as they have been since the preseason.

The Orediggers got the 2025 campaign off to a winning start with a 33-31 win at West Texas A&M in Week 1, and then opened at home on Sept. 13 to defeat Washburn 41-27 in a marathon game that lasted nearly eight hours due to weather delays. RMAC Offensive Player of the Week Landon Walker rushed for 199 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Joseph Capra added three rushing touchdowns as he also eclipsed 100 rushing yards in the game.

The Orediggers start RMAC play Saturday, hosting Chadron State at noon at Marv Kay Stadium.
