COLORADO SPRINGS - For the first time in his career, Colorado School of Mines quarterback
Joseph Capra has earned the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week award.
Capra led the Orediggers (3-1, 1-1 RMAC) to a 36-27 victory at Black Hills State on Saturday, accounting for all four of Mines' touchdowns - three passing and one rushing - on 345 total offensive yards. Capra threw for 272 yards including touchdown strikes of 34, 24, and 14 yards, and also ran for 73 yards with an additional touchdown.
Capra is the third Oredigger to earn RMAC weekly honors this season joining punter
Lucas LeSieur (Week 1)and running back
Landon Walker (Week 2).
Mines is back home this weekend to host Colorado Mesa Saturday at noon.
