2026-27 Preseason All-RMAC teams and Coaches' Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS
– Oredigger women's basketball star Sofia Baldessari was announced as Preseason All-RMAC Thursday with Mines voted sixth in the conference's coaches' poll.

Baldessari claimed the preseason honor after earning First-Team All-RMAC last season. She was one of 10 selections to the 2026-27 preseason squad. On the team side, Mines earned its spot at #6 with two third-place votes and a total of 133 points. That projects the Orediggers in this year's eight-team, RMAC tournament bracket. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Mines was 15-17 (10-10 RMAC) last season and finished eighth in the league standings. The Orediggers bring back all but four players from their 2025-26 roster.

In 2025-26, Baldessari was also D2CCA Second-Team All-Region, CSC Academic All-District and two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week. The highlight of Baldessari's 2025-26 campaign was breaking the program's single-game scoring record with 45 points against Nelson on Jan. 2. She finished year ranked third in the RMAC in scoring average and broke the program record for scoring average in a season.
