Campos And Rouse Repeat As Major Award Winners, Headline All-RMAC Selections

11/3/2026 2:00:00 PM

COLORADO SPRINGS – Tuesday the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its postseason All-Conference Teams and major award winners, as for the third time in their careers Colorado School of Mines senior Bella Campos and redshirt senior Natalie Rouse were named Player and Defensive Players of the Year to lead a total of six postseason selections.

Campos and Rouse were both named First Team All-RMAC selections, while Freshman Bella Torres was voted to the Second Team. Gaby Guerrero, Sam Forde and Lindsay Jeans all named Honorable Mention All-RMAC.

Campos becomes the first player in RMAC history to win three consecutive Player of the Year honors and has now earned a major postseason award in each year of her career, led off by Freshman of the Year honors in 2023. The senior out of Highland Village, Texas turned in a banner year for Mines in 2026. At the time of writing, Campos leads all levels of NCAA soccer with 27 goals and is tied for second in the RMAC with eight assists for 60 points. She is third in all of women's college soccer in goals scored behind Julia Gurgel of Xavier (La.) with 35 and Georgia Pardalos of Columbia College (Mo.) with 32 from the NAIA ranks. In Sunday's RMAC quarterfinal match, she broke the Mines career scoring record with her 77th career goal and this season became the second player in program history with back-to-back 20 goal seasons. Campos has scored in 14 of 19 matches this season and scored multiple goals eight times with four hat trick performances, and recorded at least one goal and one assist in a match seven times this fall. She scored three or more goals in three consecutive matches to end the regular season, tying the program single-match goals record with four against New Mexico Highlands on October 23 while breaking the program single-match points record in that match as well with nine thanks to an assist. Campos has three separate scoring streaks of at least four matches, including an active five-match streak.

Rouse repeats as Defensive Player of the Year and claims her third overall major postseason award. She's the second Oredigger to win three Defensive Player of the Year Awards, joining Emily Garnier who did so in three consecutive seasons from 2015-17. Rouse was red-hot down the stretch for Mines, as she got back to her goal scoring ways in the final three weeks of the regular season with five goals in the last four matches. In addition to once again anchoring the Orediggers' defense which has allowed 1.00 goals per match and 9.4 shots per match with four shutouts, Rouse has again shown her prowess on offense this fall. The Carlsbad, California native has found the net a career high seven times, and in the regular season finale against CSU Pueblo last week scored twice for the first multi-goal performance of her career. That performance also vaulted Rouse into the Top 10 all-time at Mines in goals scored with 19.

Torres turned in a stellar freshman season, scoring four times with five assists for 13 points in her debut campaign. An early enrollee who arrived at Mines in the spring semester, Torres has started all 19 matches for 1,422 minutes this season. She scored her first career goal against Angelo State on September 3 and was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week September 7. Her first career assist came on September 10 at Chico State and capped a three-match point streak early in the season. Torres scored a goal and registered an assist on October 4 against MSU Denver before recording her first career two-assist performance on October 23 against New Mexico Highlands.

Guerrero repeats Honorable Mention All-RMAC laurels in the final season of her career. A staple in the Mines midfield, she's scored once with a career-high six assists this fall for seven points. She's one of four Orediggers in the top 10 in the RMAC in assists this season, while her lone goal of the season at Fort Lewis was a game-winner. A starter in all 19 matches so far this season, Guerrero is fourth on the team in minutes with 1,451 and is one of six players to start every match this season.

Forde took on a new role in the Mines lineup this season as she started all 19 matches so far this season for a team-leading 1,665 minutes. The junior scored her first career goal earlier this season at Adams State and has three assists for five points. Along with Rouse on the back line, she's been a key part of the Mines defense this season and helped lead several strong performances in the second half of the season

Jeans had a breakout season in 2026 and leads the RMAC with nine assists the season. She's started 11 times in 19 matches for 881 minutes and has two matches with multiple assists to her credit. She had two assists against MSU Denver on October 4 before recording three assists against New Mexico Highlands on October 23 for the fifth three-assist match by an individual in program history.

Regis' Maggie Payne was named Goalkeeper of the Year while Rangers boss Jeff Frykholm took home Coach of the Year honors. Black Hills State's Ivy Agee was named Freshman of the Year.
