GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Three program records fell Tuesday evening as the Colorado School of Mines men's and women's swimming & diving times made their debut at the 2026 RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships.
Â
The first program record came in the first race of the five-day event.
Jennifer Pierson,
Ava LaBrose,
Michelle Murphy, and
Anna Bream teamed up for an unadjusted time of 7:31.37 in the women's 800-freestyle relay which broke the same quartet's record from earlier this season. It gave the Orediggers bronze, Second-Team All-RMAC distinction, and was also a NCAA qualifying time. The next program record was
Cameron MacMillan's leadoff in the men's 800-freestyle relay. MacMillan's unadjusted, 200-freestyle split of 1:38.92 brought down
Charlie Krone's altitude-adjusted record from earlier in the year. It the set the stage for the third program record of the evening as the men shattered the previous relay mark by more than seven seconds. MacMillan,
Vladislav Kazakin,
Brenden Cook, and
Charlie Krone stopped the clock at 6:33.66 to claim silver, First-Team All-RMAC honors, and a bid to the national meet.
Â
Mikaela Khan,
Elizabeth Powers,
Julie Gill, and
Samantha Crane made up the second relay for the Oredigger women. The men's second relay featured
Jackson Steider,
Joseph Lev-Tov,
Jake Sherman, and
Lucas Hoke. Between the four relay teams, Mines' women scored 50 points and sit third in the team standings. The Oredigger men tallied 48 points and tout possession of second in the team standings.
