Four More All-America Finishes for Mines Swimming

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Three individuals and a relay provided the Colorado School of Mines women's swimming team four all-America finishes Friday at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships.
 
Mary Flikkema, Jordan Tierney, and Mikaela Khan claimed the individual accolades. Tierney, Flikkema, Cameryn Schmidt, and Kaya Flaherty teamed up on the all-American relay. Flikkema's performance was a 12th-place finish in the 100-back with a time of 55.52. Tierney went 1:02.10 in the 100-breast and also placed 12th in the nation. Khan's night saw her take 11th in the country in the 200-fly thanks to a 2:02.60 pace. Tierney, Flikkema, Schmidt, and Flaherty teamed up in the 200-freestyle relay and stopped the clock at 1:34.48 which put them 12th in all of NCAA Division II as an unseeded relay. Those performances boosted Mines' women to 58 total points which has the Orediggers 15th in the team standings. Mines' men head into the final day ranked 25th in eight points overall.
 
Earlier in the day, Vladislav Kazakin represented the Oredigger men in the 500-free and finished 20th with a time of 4:28.48. Jakson Winn went 48.24 in the men's 100-back which put him 19th in the nation. Schmidt and Anna Bream joined Tierney in the women's 100-breast. Schmidt placed 25th nationally thanks to her 1:03.27 pace. Bream was 33rd overall in 1:04.69. The women's 200-fly was next where Savannah Karas joined Khan and made her first-ever NCAA Championship appearance. Karas' final collegiate race saw her take 26th in the country with a time of 2:06.76 which also wrapped the morning session for the Orediggers.
 
The final day of racing for Mines at the NCAA meet includes the 100-free, 200-breast, 1650-free, and the 400-freestyle relay. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. CT. Live coverage is available through links at www.minesathletics.com and at www.ncaa.com.
