BOULDER CITY, Nev.
- Things continued to click on the course for Colorado School of Mines as they - and freshman Liam Allan - took over the 36-hole lead at the RMAC Championships at Boulder Creek.

Scoring three freshmen, Mines went low again at -8 (280) to get to -19 and jump over Fort Lewis (-14) and Colorado Mesa (-12) for the team lead.

Allan took over the lead with another deep red round, shooting a four-under 68 a day after going for 66 in the first round. Allan had an eagle and four birdies against three bogeys to take a four-shot lead over three others.

Lukas Taggart was the day's biggest mover with a terrific three-under 69, moving to -5 and into the top-10 at a tie for fifth. Taggart had three birdies in his final seven holes to get under par. Enzo Martínez carded a 71 to also get into the top ten at eighth, moving to -3 for the tournament, and Giacomo Gaggero was Monday's fourth scorer with an even-par 72 to be in a tie for 19th at +1.

Lucas Schulte, also 19th at +1, shot 74 (+2) on the day, and Colt Tenpenny stands 41st after an 82.

With 18 holes to go, Mines is seeking its first RMAC title since 2019. The Orediggers also claimed titles in 2012, 2018, and 2019 under head coach Tyler Kimble.

Tuesday's final round is set for a 7:30 a.m. PT start.
