Eight Mines Swimmers Earn CSC Academic All-District

2026 CSC Academic All-District Swimming Teams
 
GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Swimming teams had eight individuals named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
 
Lucas Hoke, Joseph Lev-Tov, Cameron MacMillan, and Mattie Oberley were the selections for Mines' men. Julie Gill, Jennifer Pierson, Cameryn Schmidt, and Jordan Tierney were the quartet for the Oredigger women. Lev-Tov, Gill, and Tierney were all repeat honorees. Hoke, MacMillan, Oberley, Pierson, and Schmidt all claimed the first CSC Academic All-District distinction of their respective careers. Additionally, Lev-Tov, Hoke, MacMillan, Pierson, and Gill were selected to appear on the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Criteria for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams require honorees to be sophomores or above with a 3.5, or greater, cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and meet a minimum percentage of participation in meets throughout the season, score for the team at the conference meet, or be selected to the national meet.
 
Hoke's award came thanks to a 3.94 GPA in computer science and data science. Lev-Tov boasts an unblemished 4.00 GPA in electrical engineering. MacMillan touts a 3.92 GPA, also in electrical engineering. Oberley produced a 3.51 GPA in mechanical engineering. Gill earned her second straight selection on the merits of a 3.62 GPA in civil engineering. Pierson's first-ever nod features a 3.94 GPA in quantitative biosciences and engineering. Schmidt grabbed her first CSC award with a 3.55 in mechanical engineering. Tierney, a two-time CSC Academic All-American turned in a 3.77 GPA in computational and applied mathematics.
