2026 NCBWA DII All-America Teams

WINGATE, N.C. – Mines outfielder Brody Duvall was named Third-Team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association Wednesday afternoon following his record-breaking season for the Oredigger baseball team.

The NCBWA Third-Team All-America nod in the outfield marks the first all-America accolade of Duvall's career and the 20th all-America selection in program history. He's Mines' first all-American since Luke Folsom was recognized by the NCBWA and D2CCA in 2024. Duvall was one of seven student-athletes selected from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and one of eight honorees from the South Central Region. Overall, the all-America squads included 17 selections on each of the three teams along with 11 honorable mentions. The NCBWA tabbed Dagen Brewer (Pittsburg State) as National Player of the Year, Colby Deaver (Emporia State) as National Pitcher of the Year, and Chris Hanks (Colorado Mesa) as National Coach of the Year. The teams and superlative award winners were voted on by a national committee made up of college communications professionals.

Duvall earned all-America status after a record-breaking season for Mines. He broke the program's single-season hits record with 92 which topped the previous mark of 85 set by Trevor Kehe in 2019. That production helped the Spanish Fork, Utah, native bat .460 and score 83 runs with 18 doubles, five triples, three home runs, and 33 RBI. He added 17 walks and 18 stolen bases on 20 attempts as well. Duvall finished his season ranked #1 in the nation in hits per game and #2 in batting average. His single-season numbers put him #1 in the Oredigger record book for hits, #4 in batting average, #10 in at-bats, #3 in runs scored, top-20 for doubles, tied for #3 in triples, #10 in slugging percentage, and top-10 in total bases. Duvall also helped the Orediggers break team single-season records for batting average, runs scored, hits, and RBI. Other awards for Duvall in 2026 included D2CCA First-Team All-Region, NCBWA First-Team All-Region, First-Team All-RMAC, and RMAC First-Team All-Academic.

The Orediggers closed their 2026 season after an improbable run to the championship game of the conference tournament earlier this month. Additional postseason awards including academic accolades and all-America teams will be announced at www.minesathletics.com and on social media.
