HOW IT HAPPENED
Friday's elimination game appeared spicy after CSU Pueblo scored first in the top of the first inning. However, 13 unanswered runs by Mines poured milk on the ThunderWolves spicy start. Hummel plated Pina in the second inning and tied the score at 1-1. Bilter smacked a two-run double in the third frame for a 3-1, Oredigger lead. Dunagan's three-run home run in the fourth highlighted a four-run frame as Mines surged to a 7-1 advantage. Pina's solo shot in the fifth and a two-run double from Parker in the seventh made the score 10-1 in favor of the Orediggers. Bilter hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning and
Luke Parker piled on with a hit-by-pitch RBI later in the same frame. In the final inning, Honeyman shrugged off a leadoff single and sandwiched a fielder's choice between strikeouts to end the game.
