Orediggers Picked As RMAC Favorites In 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Poll was announced Thursday and heading into 2026, the reigning RMAC tournament champions Colorado School of Mines women's program graced the top of the 13-team poll.
 
Mines went 14-2-5 overall and 9-1-2 in league play last fall on their way to their 11th RMAC tournament title and 17th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Entering the 2026 season, the Orediggers are ranked #12 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Top 25.
 
Mines tallied three of 13 first places ledgers in the preseason voting along with eight place votes and a single third place tally for 134 points. Colorado Mesa followed closely behind in second with five first place votes, three seconds and three thirds for 132 points while UCCS earned five, two and four respectively to rank third in the voting with 131 points.
 
Fort Lewis followed in fourth while Regis rounded out the top five. Westminster checked in sixth ahead of MSU Denver, Colorado Christian, CSU Pueblo and Western Colorado to complete the top 10. Adams State, Black Hills State and New Mexico Highlands comprised the final three positions in the 13-team poll.
 
Additionally, the conference office announced pre-season All-Conference selections which featured 2026 RMAC Player of the Year Bella Campos and 2026 RMAC Defensive Player of the Year Natalie Rouse. The duo earned All-America status from both the D2CCA and United Soccer Coaches for their performances a season ago.
 
Mines kicks off the 2026 season with a four-match stand at Stermole Stadium. Opening night August 27 the Orediggers host Rollins at 7 p.m. before closing out week one Sunday August 30 at 12 p.m. against Western Oregon.
