Biography

2016-17: Went 5-3 overall and 165 pounds … Had one tech fall in his five wins … Started three duals at 165 … Placed fourth at the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open.

2015-16: Hastings College Cusatis Open champion at 165 pounds … Went 8-6 overall … Was 4-4 in duals and 3-2 in RMAC action, starting the majority of Mines’ duals at 165 … Earned one pin, one tech fall, and one major decision. 

2014-15: Second-Team All-RMAC … Went 18-12 with four falls at 157 lbs. … Was a team-best 6-2 in RMAC competition, with two falls … Was third at the Hastings Cusatis Open.

2013-14: Preseason All-RMAC … RMAC Wrestler of the Week (2/19) … Ranked as high as #5 in the nation at 157 lbs … Was 8-2 overall.

2012-13: All-American at 157 lbs. … Finished eighth at NCAA Championships … Was 31-12 overall … Fourth at the NCAA Super Region IV Tournament to qualify for NCAAs … RMAC Wrestler of the Week (2/19).

High School: John Crowley was a three-time state champion and was named Colorado Wrestler of the Year as a senior at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora. He also finished sixth at 152 pounds as a freshman, his only season without a state championship. He posted a 145-11 record as a prep, including a perfect 43-0 undefeated season as a senior at 160 pounds.  He was the first three-time state champion from RJHS and also the first from any high school in Aurora.
