Media Credential Policy
Credentials (media and photography passes) issued by Colorado School of Mines Athletics ("Mines") are required to cover Mines Athletics at all home sporting events. Credentials are provided to working members of the media to assist in the coverage of Mines Athletics. Credentials do not imply any guarantee to access, are for the duration noted on the credential, are not transferable, and are revocable at the sole discretion of Mines. Loaning or transferring credentials may result in immediate permanent revocation of media credentials and ejection from the event of the original holder and unauthorized holder of the credentials. Credentials must be displayed at all times during the event.

All media credential applications should be emailed to the primary sport contact (listed below) no less than two business days before the event. Media credentials may be issued to working members of the media representing recognized media outlets in the business of news gathering/sports reporting as a primary function of their business. Eligible outlets include newspapers, web sites, magazines, wire services, television, and radio. Credentials will not typically be issued to representatives whose outlet exists solely as a platform for distributing unoriginal or aggregated content. Freelancers will not be credentialed unless contracted by an eligible media organization or visiting team. In accordance with NCAA policy, credentials will not be issued to any outlet whose primary coverage is gambling or bookmaking.
