Bryan King

Bryan King wrapped his seventh season as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Colorado School of Mines Baseball in 2025. He joined the coaching staff in August of 2018 as the first hire by Head Coach Robby Bales.

During his time on staff, King has helped Mines players rake in 27 All-RMAC awards and 19 all-region awards, eight All-America nods and one MLB Draft Pick. King was also on staff for two RMAC Pitchers of the Year including Tyler Blomster who won RMAC Pitcher of the Year, NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Year, D2CCA South Central Region Pitcher of the Year while also becoming the RMAC's all-time wins leader on the mound. Furthermore, King serves on a staff that has helped to tie or break 72 program records including most wins in a season (40) in 2019. With King in the fold, the Orediggers have advanced to four RMAC Tournaments and one NCAA Tournament including the regional and conference tournament finals in 2019. King has also assisted with three Brechler Award winning teams 2020, 2021, and 2023, which boast the highest combined GPA in all the RMAC.

Prior to Mines, King served as head baseball coach and dean of athletics at Barstow College in Barstow, Calif. During his time with the Vikings, King developed 24 all-conference honorees and sent 22 athletes on to play NCAA and NAIA baseball including NCAA Division I programs Northern Colorado, Arkansas State and North Dakota.

King's career also includes stints at Colorado Northwestern, the College of Southern Idaho and Cerro Coso. He coached Bales at CNCC where the two would later serve on the same staff. King and Bales also worked together at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver.

The Denver native prepped at Thornton High School and received his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Northern Colorado. Bryan lives in Denver with his wife Amy.
