Lauren Sampl

Lauren Sampl enters her sixth season as assistant coach with the Colorado School of Mines men’s and women’s swimming programs in 2019-20.

A Fort Collins native, Sampl has assisted with the Fairview High School boy’s swimming team in Boulder since 2012 and previously served as assistant coach of the girl’s teams at FHS (2011) and Monarch High School (2012-13) in Louisville.

In addition to her high school experience, she has spent time with Mesa Swim Team of the Boulder Valley Summer Swim League, first as an assistant from 2011-13 and presently as co-head coach.

Following a decorated prep career at Fort Collins High School, which included four state meet qualifications, one conference championship and an individual state finals berth; Sampl swam one season at NCAA Division I New Hampshire (2006-07) before joining the multi-national champion club team at Colorado.

She graduated from CU in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in integrative physiology, and later, obtained a National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2012.

Sampl lives in Broomfield with twin sister and fellow swim coach, Emily.
