Danny Blevins joined the Mines swimming & diving staff during the summer of 2026, making the 2026-27 season his first on deck with the Orediggers.
He comes to Mines as a lifelong, Golden, Colo., native with family ties to the community spanning three generations - making him proud to continue the connection between the Blevins, Golden, and Colorado School of Mines. He's certified as a USA Diving coach and brings a variety of coaching experience to the Orediggers including four years coaching club diving and two years as the head diving coach at NCAA Division I Northern Colorado.
Blevins also serves as the Baseball Head Coach for Mines' NCBA Division II program. He took the helm for the 2025-26 season and helped the team to regionals for the first time in 10 years. Blevins resume includes expertise as a proessional hitting and pitching instructor. He focuses on helping athletes develop their mechanics and overall performance. He's currently completing his USA Baseball coaching certification.
