Dave Zabriskie is in his second season as an assistant coach in 2020-21. During his first season with the Orediggers in 2019-20, Zabriskie helped RMAC-champion Mines qualify four wrestlers to the NCAA Championships, including breakout seasons by 184-pounder Anderson Salisbury and 197-pounder Nolan Funk, as well as a repeat trip by heavyweight and all-American Weston Hunt.
Zabriskie had an accomplished amateur wrestling career at Iowa State, including the 2010 NCAA Division I heavyweight national title and three all-America awards. He was a three-time Big 12 champion as well. Outside of college, Zabriskie was the 2013 Pan-American Championships bronze medalist and the 2013 Alexander Medved Golden Grand Prix silver medalist, and is a five-time US Open placer. As a high schooler in New Jersey, Zabriskie was a state champion for High Point. As a coach, he has worked in the MMA world as the head wrestling coach with the Elevation Fight Team in Denver.
Zabriskie holds a B.S. in finance from Iowa State.
