PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines ended its dual schedule with a 37-3 setback against #15 CSU-Pueblo on Wednesday.
The Orediggers (4-8) got their lone win at 141 pounds courtesy of
Lukas Erickson, but were shorthanded elsewhere and forfeited two weights while also holding out three other usual starters.
Pueblo, the newly-crowned RMAC champion, picked up two decisions to start as Josiah Seaton won 12-5 over
Zachary Gracia and Levi Maes won 6-2 against
Noah Au-Yeung at 125 and 133, respectively.
Erickson shut out Sam Hughes, 4-0, at 141 thanks to a second-period reversal, a third-period stalling point, and riding time. Clay Archer earned a tech fall over
Jake Woods at 149 and Kyle Fantin won 5-1 against
Ethan Ruby at 157.
#4 JaCobi Jones won 15-5 against
Austin Saunders at 165 pounds with Phil Young going 14-7 against
