THE WEEK AHEAD
Mines will close out its home schedule this week, hosting its final dual of the season against #5 CSU-Pueblo Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Volk Gym, before hosting the annual Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open at Steinhauer Fieldhouse on Sunday at 10 a.m. The RMCO will run straight through starting at 10, with limited bleacher seating available; fans are also welcome to bring camp chairs for the four-mat tournament.

RMAC CHAMPIONSHIPS REWIND
Led by the lower weights, Colorado School of Mines had some solid results across the board at the 2018 RMAC Championships at the Olympics Training Center last Saturday. Mines closed eighth with 54.5 points as they had two wrestlers - Jake Stogdill and Jake Woods - earn fourth place and two more - Lukas Erickson and Noah Ottum - take fifth, with seven of their nine entries making placing matches.

CARDIAC KIDS
Mines is 9-2 in duals this season, but they haven't come easily by any means. The Orediggers have won seven of those nine in the final bout, going 6-1 in duals decided by the final match. Mines has also twice won a dual while only winning four bouts, including on Saturday in upsetting #21 Adams State.

LAST TIME OUT
In their last dual action, bonus points proved to be crucial for Mines as it upset #21 Adams State, 20-18, two weeks ago for their second win of the season over a top-25 team. The Orediggers received key pins from Zachary Gracia and TJ Shelton, as well as a tech fall by Ethan Ruby and decision by Keenan Willits as they held ASU to only decisions in picking up the team win.
