GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines completed its first-ever perfect RMAC season, dispatching CSU-Pueblo 26-20 to wrap up the outright conference championship.

The Orediggers (9-2, 7-0 RMAC) relied on bonus points as Taylor Gambill, #6 Robert Gambrell, and #12 Anderson Salisbury recorded falls and #6 Skyler Lykins had a technical fall to overcome an early Thunderwolves lead.

Mines, who shared the RMAC title last year with Western Colorado, finished out the dual season ensuring they will be alone atop the standings thanks to the win. CSU-Pueblo ends at 4-7 overall and 3-4 in the RMAC.

CSUP took the early lead as #11 D'andre Brumfield won a 13-4 major decision over Jake Woods at the starting weight of 133, but Taylor Gambill secured a first-period pin of Duno Cancellieri to make it 6-4. Jasiah Williams and Isaiah Diggs then ripped off consecutive decisions for the Thunderwolves to retake the lead 10-6, but Mines' middle weights did their damage to secure the dual.

The rally started at 165 where Lykins was dominant in a 20-5 tech fall over Elijah Valdez, but the match of the night was at 174 where Gambrell and Brendon Kelley had a wild back-and-forth battle. In the second period, both men had reversals into four-point nearfalls, and it was tied 12-12 before Gambrell stuck Kelley at 4:29 for the pin. The momentum carried into 184 where Salisbury pinned Ted Csenar in 1:22, and that meant Nolan Funk needed a win at 197 to wrap up the dual; he did just that with a 7-2 decision over Ben Gould.

With the dual already decided, Mines sat starter Weston Hunt at heavyweight, and #12 Gavin Nye earned a win over Michael True 14-0; Parker McBride ended it with a pin over Matt Lavengood at 125.
