INDIANAPOLIS - Sophomore
Wyatt Reisz saw his nationals run come to an end as he concluded the season at the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships.
Reisz battled through a tough 174-pound draw in his nationals debut, but went 0-2 on the opening day at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis.
Reisz faced the defending national champion and second-seeded Joshua Kenny of Grand Valley State to start and the two put on a defensive show, with only a pair of escapes plus riding time scored in a 2-1 win for Kenny. That sent Reisz to the consolation bracket on Friday night against Minnesota State's Drake Hayward, and a first-period takedown into a nearfall-4 proved decisive as Hayward won 11-3.
With the season at a close, Reisz finishes at 23-6, leading Mines in wins this season.
